PlansAligned with AB Forward 2026–31
Each Acton-Boxborough school sets annual goals in a School Improvement Plan. These plans describe how each school will advance the district's strategic plan, AB Forward, in its own building and for its own students. The District Improvement Plan sets the districtwide goals that every school plan connects to.
How plans are madeFrom school council to approval
- Developed
Principals and School Councils
School Improvement Plans are developed by each school principal in conjunction with the school's School Council, a group of parents, educators, and community members who help shape the school's priorities.
- Approved
Superintendent and School Committee
Plans are approved by the Superintendent of Schools in consultation with the School Committee, so each school's goals align with the District Improvement Plan and the strategic plan.
AB Forward Priority Areas
The School Committee adopted four priority areas to guide the district's work from 2026 to 2031. Every School Improvement Plan sets goals within these areas.
