The Transportation Department carefully reviews every proposed bus stop to ensure student safety. When evaluating a location, the team considers whether the stop should be on the driver’s door side, the safety of the walking route, and the areas where students will stand and wait. If there are any concerns, the department consults with the Acton or Boxborough Police safety officers for an independent review.
