FY27 Superintendent’s Preliminary Budget PresentationLast night we presented our FY27 Preliminary Budget to the School Committee. We presented a preliminary budget that totalled $121.3M, a 3.69% increase from FY26. The largest drivers of our budget increase are health insurance, salaries, and special education tuition. Reductions to the budget are accounted for in the AB Forward staffing plan that was previously shared. We are also proposing to add additional counseling services at the elementary schools, a multilingual educator, several special education positions, a K-8 literacy coordinator, and nursing support to accommodate increased enrollment at the Boardwalk and Parker Damon Buildings.
Our budget workshop is scheduled for Monday, February 9, 2026, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. in the Administration Building Auditorium. You can attend the ABRSD Auditorium in person or view the workshop on Acton TV.
