The CDC recommends the following guidance for all upper respiratory infections to prevent the spread of infection to others:
●Stay home and away from others while sick.
●You may return to your typical activities such as school when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:
○Your symptoms are improving.
○You have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
●Once normal activities resume, take added precautions for 5 days such as practice physical distancing, practicing good hand hygiene, consider wearing a mask, and testing at home.
●As always, it is recommended that you consult your primary care provider for your specific health needs.
